The Problem
The Canadian Society for Transfusion Medicine is a multidisciplinary society that promotes and supports best practices in transfusion medicine in Canada through education, communication, and partnerships. They need a logo for their annual conference in Saskatoon in 2024.
Our Approach
Based on their needs and context, we defined some key elements to include in the solution:
Colours
Shapes
It was important to represent the main topic of the conferences, which is transfusion medicine and blood. As the conference will be held in Saskatoon, we decided to incorporate the shape of the Saskatoon bridges.
The Ideation
The Result
Our final logo proposal is the shape of a blood drop that contains a Saskatoon bridge in the middle; the rest of the lines in the graphic resemble the bandages “hugging” our city to represent the link and support between the transfusion communities.
